Austin: the city that thrives on keeping things weird, fueling creativity, and moving to its own rhythm. It’s the perfect backdrop for our Swift Fit Singles Yoga in the City event on April 12th, and who better to show us around than local Austinite Tiffany Hunter? Discover her go-to spots to move, refuel, and refresh—consider this your cheat sheet to the best of Austin, straight from someone who knows it best. So slip into your favorite Halara fit, and let’s get moving.
We’re absolutely inspired by your stunning fishing and hiking photos. What is it about the Ann and Roy Butler Trail and Lady Bird Lake that makes you love spending time there?
It truly is magic! There are so many people doing their thing and taking care of themselves in several different forms of activity. The constant scene change between cityscape, nature, and flowing water really keeps me (and I’d assume others) in an almost meditative state to get you where you’re going. You really cannot leave the trail feeling anything less than amazing.
Tucked inside Zilker Metropolitan Park, Barton Springs Pool is the perfect place to escape the Austin heat. Fed by underground springs, the three-acre swimming pool stays a refreshing 68–70°F, making it ideal for year-round dips. It has seen visitors nearing 800,000 in recent years, so don’t be surprised if it gets a bit crowded. Weekends and afternoons are busy, so we recommend hitting it up in the morning for a peaceful swim.
Austin's love for movement isn't just a moment—it's a way of life. With over 220 parks, 250 miles of trails, and year-round outdoor-friendly weather, the city makes it easy to stay active. Whether you're paddleboarding on Lady Bird Lake, cycling down Congress Avenue, or hitting the Greenbelt for a morning run, Austin is built to move.
What makes Palomino Coffee the spot?
Palomino has such a cool and calm vibe. It’s perfect for sipping and reading, solo working, or just popping in to get your fix.
What’s your go-to order?
My go-to order is always their seasonal matcha, heavy on the whole milk!
How does Palomino fit into your daily routine?
Palomino is conveniently placed between my home and my work, so I have definitely become a frequent flyer.
Palomino Coffee is located in East Austin, a historic hub for Black and Latino communities. The mix of old and new makes this neighborhood a diverse and dynamic place to explore after getting your caffeine fix. View local street art, visit the galleries, and discover the many shops featuring wares from local artisans.
Why is it so important to shop locally in Austin, and how does supporting local businesses impact the city's culture?
We love a good glow-up. Tell us about Damn, Glam!
Damn, Glam! is my life's work, my pride and joy, my palace! We have a beautiful group of talented individuals who provide a wide range of beauty services to have you looking and feeling your best. We opened in 2020 with 4 artists, and now we've doubled in size and grown to 8! I'm truly so grateful for the support our community has shown us, the talent of my team members, and the consistency of our work over the last 4.5 years. DG4EVER!!!
How does that influence your approach to beauty, style, and wellness?
I can always have glam or no glam, be casual or dress up. There's an opportunity for health and activity around every corner. I truly feel like I can explore all parts of my holy trinity (beauty, style, wellness) and lean into any mood I'm in.
After exploring Austin, come unwind at our Swift Fit Singles Yoga in the City Event on April 12th. Connect with the locals, move your body, and enjoy refreshing drinks, delicious bites, and maybe even a cold plunge (if you're feeling bold). And, of course, do it all in your favorite Halara fit.
